Matt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience specializing in anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and men’s mental health. He works with teens, young adults, adults, and parents navigating major shifts — from emerging adulthood and new parenthood to midlife changes, identity questions, and the pressures of balancing work and family.

Matt’s clinical foundation was shaped at Harvard’s McLean Hospital, where he trained in evidence-based, research-driven approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, and insight-oriented work. He uses these methods to help clients manage overwhelm, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, and gain clarity during periods of uncertainty or change.

Clients often seek Matt’s support when they’re facing transitions, struggling with anxiety or stress, feeling stuck, or working to rebuild meaning after loss. He has a particular interest in helping individuals adjust to changing roles — becoming a parent, shifting career paths, navigating partnership dynamics, or stepping into new phases of adulthood with confidence and intention.

Matt’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. He creates a space where clients feel safe to be honest, explore challenges, and make meaningful shifts at a pace that feels right. Humor, reflection, and real-world practicality often find their way into the work. His therapeutic perspective is informed not only by extensive clinical training but also by his lived experience as a husband and father of two. This allows him to bring a compassionate, realistic understanding of the complexities of connection, growth, and modern family life.

Outside of his clinical work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with your family, listening to music and exploring new restaurants. He is currently licensed in New York and Massachusetts.

If you’re looking for a therapist who blends clinical rigor with warmth and real-world understanding, Matt would be honored to support you in whatever chapter you’re navigating next.
